Job Advert Description

You will be responsible for translating a variety of legal and business documents, as well as serving as a liaison with government ministries and authorities. See below a list of your responsibilities:

  • Translate legal documents, contracts, correspondence, and other materials from English to Arabic and vice versa
  • Review and edit translations for grammar, clarity, and consistency
  • Liaising with Government authorities (including frequent offsite visits to such authorities)
  • Facilitate communication and ensure smooth interaction between the firm and various Government ministries and departments
  • Stay informed about new and changing government regulations that may affect the firm’s operations and clients
  • Support the legal team with research and gathering information from governmental sources

To succeed in this role, you'll need to have:

  • Fluency in both Arabic and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook)
  • Previous experience in translation, particularly within a legal context, is preferred
  • Familiarity with Omani government procedures and regulations is an asset
  • Driving licence is a must
