Are you an experienced Legal Cashier looking for a new opportunity in London? Trowers and Hamlins are seeking a dedicated Legal Cashier to join the Finance department. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with the Solicitors' Accounts Rules (SAR) and providing an efficient cashiering service to fee earners.

The Role
The Legal Cashier will play a vital role in the Finance department.
- Participate fully in the daily activities of the Cashiers team
- Post disbursement recharges and handle supplier uploads and third-party invoices
- Prepare payments for the firm, including Partners drawings and Counsel fees
- Conduct disbursement and Counsel fee note reconciliations
- Cover for other Cashiers as needed, managing Client account receipts and payments
- Address various ad hoc cashiering queries as assigned
- Post credits from Overseas offices and liaise with banks
- Perform month and year-end procedures and reconciliations
- Support other Finance team members during busy periods
- Handle internal and external queries efficiently
- Ensure compliance with internal cashiering regulations and SAR
The Candidate
The ideal Legal Cashier will have the following attributes:
- Ability to prioritise work effectively and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- A team player with a positive and proactive attitude
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach
- Polite and professional manner
- Essential experience in office account cashiering and previous law firm experience
- Preferable experience in client account cashiering and using Elite 3e
- Good knowledge of the Solicitors' Accounts Rules
